I agree. Love that's enduring grows over time. Instant attraction or chemistry is not love. Knowing that you would put another's well being before your own (one definition of love) is not something that can happen in an instant - certainly not in the instant of a first meeting. I think that 'love at first sight' is a myth that is perpetuated in novels and movies - and even in fairy tales. It's a beautiful myth, but I don't believe that it's a reality.

When I was younger I did, but as I've gotten older, I find that love at first sight is for the very young and the very lonely. Attraction is one thing, but falling in love with someone from first sight wont be happening to me very soon or in the near future.
